Kanani said on Saturday that Iranian nationals has been evacuated from Sudan's capital to Khartoum and then to the city of Port Sudan before they were transferred to the Saudi city of Jeddah.
He appreciated Saudi Arabia's cooperation and the assistance provided by the Sudanese government for the evacuation operation.
The official said preparations have been made to transfer Iranian nationals from Jeddan to Iran.
